Crazy Legs!

Wow, what a week! You would have heard from me sooner, but hubs was on our computer 24/7 trying to get us switched over to a new online system. Our business has doubled again since starting up last September so it's been really crazy. Combine that with the fact that our coaches are taking turns getting the flu, etc., it's made life BEYOND hectic! I feel like I haven't seen my kids in two weeks, ugh.

Yesterday I had an INSANELY strong leg day...woot..woot!! I didn't need help getting through one single rep the entire workout. Shawn couldn't believe how I was ripping through the sets and hardly breaking a sweat. MuscleMomma jokingly accused me of taking something. My glutes are a tiny bit sore but otherwise I can't even tell I worked legs. Wierd because there was nothing light about the workout. I have started using the night before our leg workout as my cheat night. I think the extra carbs are what's making the difference because I've done that for two weeks now and both weeks I was really strong. MuscleMomma's going to give that a try next week.

10 weeks out today!! EEEEEEK. I'm getting a little nervous about the whole being on stage thing. I've never been front and center all by myself like that before, much less without hardly any clothes on! I'm getting pinched tomorrow to see where I'm at but Shawn's really pleased with what he sees. He thinks I'm right on track and assures me that most of it will come off the last 4 weeks. My abs are coming out and I totally love it!! I'm ready for my legs to be super lean but I know that will be last on me. I've decided that I'm definately going to do both categories and if I laugh while I'm holding that goofy pose in figure...oh well. I think figure goes out first, so that will give me a chance to get over being freaked out before I do my routine. I'm trying to decide on my music this week so I can start getting that together.

I'm off to catch up on you guys now....have a great week! Who knows maybe you'll hear from me again before next weekend!

I Need a Hand Rail

Ok...when MuscleMomma and I first talked with our new trainer Shawn he said we didn't need to lift as heavy as we had been. I don't think he remembers that conversation. We did legs on Friday and here are just a few of the loads we did. Remember also that everything we do with him is a superset, so I actually had to get up and do another set after this!!

Close Stance Leg Press, 20 reps, 450lbs (WTH??) This was a superset with 20 reps of leg extensions at 80lbs

also

Laying Ham Curls, 20 reps, 90lbs (superset with stiff legged deads)
On our last set of Laying Ham Curls we did 110lbs. I didn't think that was possible. He said that was his warm up weight and he's never had any girls that could do that.

Can I just say how loudly I squeal when sitting today?? Thankfully I took the time to stretch good last night before going to bed. Geez.

So I'm seriously bumming about my muscle mass going into this competition. It's probably perfect for figure but that's not what I want to do. I know there wasn't enough time to put the muscle back on that I lost last summer but I didn't realize how much smaller I would look when the fat started coming off. Shawn insists I have great muscle mass (my lean muscle mass is 105lbs). Don't get me wrong, I don't want to look like one of those steriod beasts, but I would like to look thicker. I think I may enter both categories if I can manage to hold that figure pose without laughing AND if I can figure out how to walk on those stilts without looking like I have something up my butt. MuscleMomma on the other hand looks amazing. If I didn't love her so much I would hate her. I bet she takes first place this year.

Can I say "cardio sucks"? I hate these long one hour, slow sessions. I really miss my agility training. I like to do cardio like hill sprints, ropes, ladders, bleachers, etc. FULL OUT 'til you pop a lung!! Shawn says I'm mental and he doesn't want me losing muscle. I'm going to talk to him about maybe doing it once per week cause I think he thought I wanted to do it every session. I would think once per week would be good and would pull up my fat burning rate. Oh well....11 weeks and counting....eeeeeeeek!

Helllloooooooo!!!

Holy Cow! I can't believe it's already been a full month since I posted last!! Sorry guys! We had two new territories start up last month and they took off like rockets! I've been working 24/7 and have barely managed to squeeze in my lifting sessions with Karen and Shawn. I've missed tons of cardio which really sucks considering I'm 12 weeks out from my show. Shawn's not freakin' out on me though because I'm still losing fat at the pace he wants me to. I'm starting to see ALOT of new cuts which is really exciting!! I'm bumming a little over all the muscle I lost while I was injured over the summer though. Thankfully I'm doing a natural show so there will be plenty of smaller people there. Otherwise, I would probably consider doing figure instead even though I don't think I could ever balance on those stilts. I tried to do the figure pose in the mirror the other night and busted out laughing at myself because I looked so silly. It's probably just me but I don't think I could pull it off.

I've missed reading everyone's posts terribly! So I'm taking off now to get caught up. I will post more tonite of my adventures :-)
