Warning: The Following Post Contains Material That Can Cause Lightheadedness, Nauseous Stomach, and Severe Glute Pain.....

I cannot believe I didn't post about the much anticipated Leg Day with Shawn, herein to be referred to as The Terminator!!! Following is a recap of our leg workout last Friday. We totally hung with it and I only got dizzy once when I stood up too fast after leg press. I was totally proud of the fact I did NOT need a trash bag. Here it is:

Superset #1 (completed 3 times...no rest)
1 Legged Leg Press 90lbs 20 reps
Hack Squat 50lbs/70lbs/90lbs 20/15/12 reps

2 mins bike

Superset #2 (completed 3 times...no rest)
Close Stance Leg Press 180/270/360lbs 20 reps
Leg Extensions 80lbs 15 reps

2 mins bike

Superset #3 (completed 3 times...no rest)
Hyperextensions 20 reps (not normal extensions....some wierd thing that totally isolates your hams)
Laying Ham Curl 60lbs 15 reps
Smith Machine Deadlift 50lbs 20 reps

2 mins bike

Superset #4 (completed 3 times...no rest)
Free Motion Calf machine 160lbs 20reps
Donkey Calf raises 180lbs 12 reps
(super light for calves...I know...but ankle still can't take much more than that)

30 minutes brisk pace on treadmill

Did that make you tired? Just looking at the exercises, it doesn't really look all that bad. It was the fact that we had no rest time at all. It's really hard to keep that pace on legs, even if it's not super heavy. I didn't get terribly sore probably because of the bike in between sets pulling all the lactic acid out of my muscles. My calves were SCREAMING for three days though. I almost fell every time I stood up! Unfortuantely, The Terminator said that was the EASY leg workout. Eeeek. I better carb up really good for this Friday!!

I Am an IDOT...

Ms Dallas Ks just brought to my attention that the comment moderation was turned to "on" on my blog. I just thought no one loved me anymore! So, I have now fixed it and can read your comments :-)

I CAN'T BELIEVE MUSCLEMOMMA FINALLY POSTED ON MY BLOG!!!!! Welcome to the blogging world, darlin'!!!

Strong Girls ROCK...did you hear?

Isn't it great when someone tells you how awesome you are? What is that? Why don't we believe we are amazing without someone telling us that we are? MuscleMomma and I were really intimidated to start training with Shawn at first. After a week of hearing how "strong girls rock!" and how cool it is to see a woman push through the pain....I think I'm liking this guy! We were so scared he was going to think we were a couple of girlie girls. We're used to working out in a family gym with a bunch of soccer moms, so to go to a real testosterone filled gym was a little wierd. Needless to say we're beginning to feel more at home. We are surviving his relentless pace even though he's not going "light" like he said he would. I have to say I'm a little relieved because I enjoy lifting heavy. I just have to watch my joints because my muscles tend to outpace them and they give me grief.

I.....ate.....cheese pizza....tonite. Okay, there I said it. Now I feel better. I could've done worse, right? AND I only ate two pieces. We had two coaches out today and hubs had to go to his other office, so I was left teaching 7...count them.....7 agility classes by myself today. Therefore, I felt I earned the cheese pizza. Enough said. I know I had to have burned WAY more calories than the ones I ate....so there. Hubs looked at me like I had two heads when I started eating it though. I really wanted to punch him but I just glared and munched on!

Thing 1 is home with strep throat again. Seems the first round of antibiotics didn't take. At least he's not acting like he feels terrible this time. So I get to hang out and cuddle with him all day tomorrow. I take every minute like that I can since him and Thing 2 are about to be 8. They won't let me get away with that much longer. Did you just hear that tear drop????

Post Turkey Day Recovery

Alas, the day of eating is over. I so loved that full feeling!!! I was actually pretty good though and didn't eat alot of high fat things. I only had one dessert which was a yummy slice of pumpkin cheesecake that my sister made. I just LOVE cornbread dressing though and am sad I won't be having any more as of today. This was by far the easiest Thanksgiving dinner we have ever had. We decided to try to have everything ready by noon and had it ready by 11:30! My sister is HIGHLY organized and she was in charge...so there you have it!

On Wednesday we worked chest and back with Shawn. He was amazing at working around my limitations caused by the surgery from getting "the girls". He modified everything that I couldn't do and I had the best chest workout I've had since coming back. I'm actually really sore and my upper back is screaming for a massage! We did one arm rows with 45lbs for 15 reps. We must be really good clients because he made the comment that it felt like we had trained together for years and it was only our second workout. I was struggling to get through my last set when he said, "strong girls rock!". That motivated me to push through just as hard with the last rep as the first. Today is leg day....Oh my Bob....I have my trash bag ready but am excited at the same time. I'm wierd, I know.

Okay....why do I have to choose between zits or dry skin??? Why? Ugh. My face had been breaking out really bad and I didn't have my regular skin stuff so I went to Walgreens and bought some acne cleanser. My zits are gone but now I feel like the Phantom of the Opera dude. Total mask face. I'm afraid if I smile really big or grimace during our workout that my face is going to crack and fall off. It's so frustrating having this problem at my age. I hardly had zits as a teenager but have to battle it constantly now. They're not the big nasty kind, just tons of little ones. Maybe that's the real reason nobody believes my age. How could someone my age look like a pimply faced teenager? I'm beginning to wonder if the arginine has anything to do with it because it seems worse lately. Anyone know?

I'm off to eat tons of carbs so MuscleMomma doesn't show me up today! She just FINALLY got her own blog....woooohooooo! Hopefully we can get her up and running in the next week. She's hilarious so I absolutely cannot wait. I do, however, fear retribution for the face pic I ran on her a few posts back. Uh...love ya MuscleMomma...heeeheee!!

P.S. I don't advocate going home and getting stoned as my current song playing suggests....you who thinks the songs I pick are picked for the lyrics. It's just another cool tune from Hinder.

I Am Indeed....TORCHED

So we had our first workout with Shawn today. He said he would "torch our ass" and he did just that. The funny thing was that our workout was completely over in 50 minutes. We probably only had a total of 3 minutes rest the whole time though which would explain a big part of it! MuscleMomma called me just a couple of hours later saying how she was already getting sore and it wasn't even 3:00 yet. I have to admit my purse felt like I was lugging around a ton of bricks. We worked arms and shoulders and did alot of multi-joint movements which neither of us is really used to. My shoulders are definately aching but I LOVED how pumped my arms got after the first giant set! They felt like they were going to burst right out of my skin. I'm on my second week of Nitrix, too, so that may have had something to do with it also. A big plus is that we aren't even lifting terribly heavy, so I can tell that I'm not going to have as many problems with my joints as I have had in the past. We go back on Wednesday for chest and back. I think I'm going to like this guy. I may have to transfer the name "The Punisher" over to him. Click on him above and you'll see he fits the name. His neck is as big around as my thigh!

The boys are out of school this week and I love having them around. We took my friend "the lurker" (I call her that because she's read my blog from DAY ONE and has never posted a comment...hmmpppfff!) to lunch for her birthday. We went to the Olive Garden and had the best waiter. He made a big deal out of the birthday song and made her put on this hat, hold a cup in her mouth that looked like a beak, and flap her arms with these napkins to make her look like a bird! I tipped him BIG. She was a good sport!

I Am SOOOOO Excited!! (and I just can't hide it, yeah, yeah)

Friday, MuscleMomma and I went to go talk to this guy named Shawn about helping us with our diets. He was AWESOME!! He's trained many competitors that have not only won their category but the overall as well. That's how MuscleMomma found him. The guy that won the overall in her last competition dates her niece, so she got his number from them. He told us if we trained with him the diet and posing came along with the price, it wouldn't be extra. So, we hesitantly asked him how much he charged and braced ourselves for the worse. See, we pay The Punisher $51 per session EACH when we train together. Otherwise it's $69 per session if you're by yourself. So we're thinking this guy's going to be around $100 or more an hour. He said $50 per session for both. We were thinking, oh o.k., that's what we pay now. He said NO, I mean $50 TOTAL for both which is only $25 each. We just sat there stunned for a moment. He began explaining how he charges his in-home clients $150 an hour, so that gave him the ability to train cheaper inside the gym. We tried to contain ourselves but we were so excited we nearly freaked! MuscleMomma was paying three different people for all those things in her competitions this year! If that's not great enough we totally like his training style, too. He keeps it high paced so you burn more calories and stay leaner. As he put it...."I'm gonna torch your ass!". I have to admit, I'm a little concerned that I may need to drag around a trash bag the first few weeks. Plus he trains on a three day split, so I don't have to spend 2 hours a day 5 days a week in the gym. Woooohooooo!! He also said our diet and supplements were spot on which made us feel better. BUT... NOT.... AS.... GOOD... AS....(drumroll...) saying our bodyfat had to be lower than The Punisher was pinching it at!!!!! He's going to test our BF when we go in on Monday. I won't even say what The Punisher pinched me at on Friday. All I'll say is...well....I cried. Really. Pathetic, I know. But all I could think was, "how could I have let that happen???" I know I was depressed over the injury but CRAP! Well, we'll see on Monday how bad it really is.

On another note, hubs decided to cancel the trip to Amarillo. As you can imagine I was heartbroken. Really. Okay, so not really. 5-6 hours in the car with Thing 1 and Thing 2???? Whatever! If we were going to the beach or Disney World I could tough it out but Amarillo? Yeah, right. So instead I went to the grocery store and dropped almost $300 on food. Can you believe that??? Ugh, groceries are so expensive. That was all meat and veggies mostly....unreal. So after I got home and cooked dinner (very yummy ANd healthy green chili frittata , yum!!) we sat down and watched Elf with the boys. They had never seen it and thought it was hysterical! They crack me up with those giggles! I'm off to bed to rest up the rest of the weekend before I get "Torched"...EEEEK!! If I can type, I'll tell you all about it!

I GOT IT!!!

I have skulked around the gym for the past year trying to get a pic of Catsuit Woman!! The best part of the catsuit is the front because it has these clawlike cutouts. Unfortunately, I only have the back that shows it's off one shoulder and backless. Not very exciting, I know, but she kept STARING at us so it was impossible to get a front shot without her noticing. The whole get up is ridiculously hysterical... especially at our gym. In her defense, she's from Denmark and I'm guessing it's completely acceptable there. The funny thing is that she has one of these in about three colors and it's the ONLY thing she ever wears. You never see her there in shorts, etc.

That's her in the background. MuscleMomma and I were pretending to take pics of her working out!! OH, how I wish I could have got a pic from the front!!! One day, I promise bloggers. Okay, here's a bonus pic:

No...MuscleMomma is not checking her teeth for broccoli. This is her, "Holy Crap this is heavy but I need one more rep" face. She's totally gonna kick my arse for this pic but I couldn't resist! You can see Catsuit Woman getting after it in the background. Happy Fug Thursday!!

It's a Very Blustery Day!!!

Holy cow was it windy here today!! I was afraid MuscleMomma would get blowed away in the parking lot and I'd never see her again!! It was flippin' cold, too! Today was a very productive day....I think. Thing 1 went back to school today so I was able to get caught up on some work here at home. Our workout was somewhat of a repeat of last week's for me...not much gains in strength this week. Three more weeks of strength training and we start the heavy lifting so I need to get with the program and push myself harder. I DID do 35 lb dumbbells on overhead shoulder press today, woop woop!! It felt awesome to be holding some heavy weights again! My old friends the 45lb'ers were sitting on the rack mocking me. Bastards. I'll throw you around again in no time, so you better watch your back. Legs were a "good" sore today. All parts were sore but not so much that I couldn't walk without wincing.

I finally did it. I took in many more calories today and didn't freak out. I have to go up another 500 next week to start hitting my 2200 calorie a day mark. MuscleMomma (who will be getting her own blog and STOP LURKING soon!) and I have a meeting with someone Friday morning that may be able to keep our diets straight and lean us down. I'm anxious to see if he thinks I'm on the right track. The Punisher is measuring me tomorrow and I'm really dreading it. He has no problems commenting on things that ought nought be on your body...you know.. the squishy stuff! He doesn't mean to be so brutally and bone crushingly honest. It's just the kind of guy he is. I have to admit that motivates me a little though.

So who else is going to be insanely BAD at Thanksgiving??? Anyone? I always plan to be good and to just have really small portions of the bad stuff. Doesn't planning count for something? We're going to hubs' family this weekend. If my MIL makes that evil chocolate Mud Cake again this year I might have to bury her in the backyard. I...can't....stay.....out....of....it. Help. They leave the turkey sitting out all day though which just freaks me out. My husband says it will offend them if I go and put some away in the fridge. Hello? I'm sorry, I though salmonella poisoning was offensive. You know, all the throwing up and heaving all night?? I'm going to pack some tuna, rice, etc. and have decided I may need my own suitcase for protein, snacks and supplements. I'm not a good traveler right now. Too much stuff to lug around. When we get back we're having our actual Thanksgiving at my sister's house. It may just be impossible to be good twice in one week. Thank goodness Thanksgiving doesn't fall during our dieting!

Slowed Down by Strep!

Well, instead of blasting legs like I was suppose to yesterday with MuscleMomma, I had to go pick up Thing 1 from school. He had strep throat...ugh. So we've been home together since Monday morning which has been really nice, but he's feeling better and is returning to school tomorrow. Hubs came home early and stayed with the boys so I could go workout and not get behind. I hit legs so hard today, I literally almost fell down in the parking lot. No one probably would have noticed except that I burst out laughing! So I'm sure they either thought I was a special needs person or drunk. I was worried I wouldn't push as hard without MuscleMomma around to call me a wimp but I'm gonna be hurtin' for sure tomorrow. I stretched like a maniac when I got home to keep it from being so bad in the morning. Here's our typical leg day:

Squats: 5 sets 45 (bar warmup)/95/115/135/135/155lbs reps: 15/15/12/12/12/8
Extensions: 4 sets 100/115/125/135 reps: 12/12/12/10
Leg Press: 3 sets 180/270/270 reps: 12/12/10 (sometimes four sets but was really tired today...not enough carbs!)
Medicine Ball curls: 3 sets 15 reps (skipped these today...I know....wimp!)
Walking lunges: 30 lunges, two times

That's just day one! We do legs again on Friday but it's mostly just body weight movements like lunges and step ups. I ate like an animal when I got home and then we had dinner just 1 1/2 hours later! I'm having a real mental issue this time around with adding in all the carbs to bulk. I'm sure it's because I feel like I put on fat while I was laid up. I'm going to try to get pinched tomorrow to see the real damage. Even though I know rationally that I'll work it off with all the heavy lifting the next four months and I NEED it to build the additional muscle...it's still a challenge mentally to move my calories up. I really enjoyed starting the cutting process and seeing all my muscle come out even though I didn't get to see it through. It's just sad to go back the other way again. I'm excited about putting muscle back on but sad at the same time. Sorry, I'm rambling, it's just a really big battle right now.

Tomorrow is back and shoulders...one of our most favorite workouts. We are going for monster shoulders this time around!! The boys are relieved that I'm going to the gym while they're at school. They're sick of going up there with me. They're almost getting a little too old to think the child center is still cool. They think it's so awesome though that their mommy is so strong and they cheer me on as long as they don't have to come along!

By the way...MuscleMomma's arms looked Geeeenormous today!! She's so amazing. I have to get some pics from her to post on here again. She's not beasty...she very beautiful and really built. We tease her constantly though because she's only 5'2". I'll save those jokes for another day :-)!

The Wheels are in Motion...

The moping around I did all summer after my injury ends NOW. For those of you that regularly read my blog, I fear you might want to remove your bookmark because most of my posts from here on out will be about my progress training for the Texas Shredder next May. The reason I started this blog was to chronicle my journey to my first competition which was SUPPOSE to be this past summer. Thanks to blowing my ankle out 6 weeks prior, I missed that goal and the two that followed. Now that I've completely healed from my ankle surgery and my new additions, I have started hitting my training hard again and that will be my main focus. I'll throw you a gratuitous pic of the boys here and there but if you don't want to hear about lifting, eating, and sore muscles you will be bored.

So...here I go. I started the month out at 130lbs and 16% BF...yikes... (I'm 5'5"). I've managed to lose around 5-6 pounds of muscle...mostly in my legs...and put on some fat. My right leg is significantly behind my left in size and strength due to the amount of time I spent off it it. I'm doing legs twice per week and extra sets on the right. SUCKS. I love lifting legs but geez! This week will start my fourth week back in the gym. My strength is returning and MuscleMomma and me even squatted 155lbs! We were laughing at how excited we were since our heaviest before our injuries was 235lb. Big Spread.

I still struggle with chest since getting the new "girls". It doesn't hurt it just feels really freaky. I get totally geeked out when I feel it pull a certain way. I'll probably stay high rep and light weights another month with chest. Besides, who ever heard that a woman lost because her chest wasn't thick enough? Could happen but not likely. My right elbow managed to recover during my time off but my left still has some tendonosis that bothers me when we work biceps. I'm pushing through it though and focusing mostly on barbell and ez bar work since it doesn't hurt as much as dumbbells. (Have I said how much is sucks to be older!!) Shoulder workouts have rocked the past two weeks! So far we've worked back up to 35lb DB's on overhead shoulder press, so only 10 more lbs to go to get back where I was when I left off. We want smokin' shoulders next May, so we're pretty excited to be hitting those hard again.

We both miss working with a trainer. Even though we push each other, I still don't think we push each other hard enough. The Punisher was great at getting me to go heavier than I thought I could most times. I really miss that. But with the new biz taking off I don't have $$$ to spend on training right now. We're both focused and ready to hit the Shredder ripped and hard so I think we can do it on our own. Speaking of....we've both cleaned up our diets. All clean carbs, no more junk. We're desparately trying to find someone here in the Big D to help us with a competition diet. We know WHAT to eat, but we need help leaning down and carb depleting. We have a little bit of time, so I'm sure we'll find someone. MuscleMomma peaked too late in her competitions this year and was really depressed. We have to find someone that is here in town, that actually KNOWS how to lean a natural bodybuilder and that can see us and see our progress. The guy MuscleMomma used last year used the same technique for her that he used for his juicers. Not effective.

Well tomorrow is our heavy leg day. My booty still hurts from all the lunges we did on Saturday so I need to get to bed early tonite. With dreams of dumbbells dancing in my head....

Adventures with the Munckin!

Can I just say I have the easiest gig of all this weekend? Where did this kid come from?? What almost-two-year-old tells YOU when it's time to go to bed? Then he just lays right down and out he goes. Always laughing, never crying, I have the most amazing nephew on the planet:-)!

Here's a few pics of our adventures with Thing 1 and Thing 2 today...

Hi!!! This is me eating in the living room!!! NO! Thing 1 and Thing 2 CANNOT eat in here...only me (big grin). Thing 2 looking on jealously...

This is the "weeeee!" that Munchkin made me slide down with him on. I told the other parents to put the fire department on standby as I wasn't so sure my booty wouldn't get stuck on the way down. At the bottom Munchkin squeeled...One Moh!! One Moh!! Moh weeeeee!! Since I didn't get stuck we slid down 102 more times.

When your cousins are twins you get pushed from the front AND the back.

That's great guys...you can stop for a candid but you better start pushing again in about 22 seconds!

When your kids bring play weapons of any kind to the park and hold each other hostage at the top of the slide, the other mommies won't let their kids play with them. I'm just sayin...

I'm grinning at my Auntie like this so when they put the chocolate cake down in front of us at dinner later.... she won't care when I eat it all. Whatever it takes.

Munckin was a riot at dinner. When they brought the cake, he flung his pizza and yelled..."YUMMY!!!". I think it must have been the most magnificent thing he had ever seen! Did you know if you stabbed your cousin with a spoon that it would buy you just enough time to quickly get another bite while they composed themselves?? As you may remember from my last stay at Football Widow's place, her dog STILL snores loud enough to wake the dead. O...M....G.....I would never have believed it was possible for such a small animal to make such a loud noise.

Well, I'm off to see what things in my OCD sister's house I can move out of place to drive her mad....

Munchkin Madness

I'm all geared up for my weekend with Munchkin!! I can't wait pick him up from school today...I absolutely love that baby! My sister made me a dictionary with all his words so I could translate, but I think if I remember that every word ends in "T" I'll be okay! I'm only taking one Thing at a time over to stay with me each night. Thing 1 is going with me tonite and Thing 2 is going on Saturday. That way they can each get some "alone" time with daddy. I've been trying to think of some fun things to do with Munchkin while I have him but it's been so long since I've had a baby I can only come up with the park or the zoo. He has so much fun playing with his cousins though that I don't think he'll really care what else we do.

We're hitting legs at the gym again today...heavy sigh. I have to do them twice a week in order to get them caught up for May's show. My upper body is coming back quite quickly which is a huge relief. I didn't lay off of upper body as long as legs though. The leg workouts stopped when I got injured in May. We're getting stronger each week though and we were so excited when we squatted 155 on Monday. Seems funny to be excited over what we would have considered pretty light 6 months ago. I guess it's the progress that's exciting.

MuscleMomma and me are going to start selling workout shirts and gym accessories. I will leave the "P" word off of them Kami...I promise. It started out with me making MuscleMomma a shirt and constantly coming up with smart ass sayings for new ones. Finally she decided we needed to market them and share them with the world! We're going to have a booth at the shows and start an online store. We have alot of connections that we could get our site linked to numerous pros and industry professionals. I'm excited because it will just be for fun!! We figure the money can support our training expenses...which have been kicking my ass lately. I'm not even paying the Punisher right now and I've dropped several hundred dollars already this month. Supplements are so expensive. I counted last night and I have 7 pills I take three times a day!! So if we sell enough the company can sponsor us and pay for everything....woohoooo! Now I have to go think of a clever name for our fun little company.....

Holy Smokes, Batman...She's a REAL girl!!

Poor MuscleMomma. Anytime we get a new female trainer at the gym, that is of the lesbian persuasion, they zoom right in on her! We can't figure it out. She doesn't walk, talk, or look butch...in fact she's beautiful and ALL girl. She must have some kind of signal she has no control of or beacon she can't figure out how to turn off. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't totally geek her out when these chicks were staring at her. Last week the newest one went up to MuscleMomma's husband and asked if she was his wife. When he said yes, she shook her head in disappointment and walked away. MuscleMomma's husband, who loves to give her a hard time, was all too giddy to run over and tell us what happened. He then proposed a contest between the two of them to see who could pick up the most girls at the gym in 30 days. I informed him he would lose miserably and he agreed! Don't get the wrong impresson though....we're not anit-gay or anything like that. In fact, we got to be pretty good friends with one of the trainers there that initially had a crush on MuscleMomma. She didn't gawk across the gym at us though, and she was alot of fun. It's the creepy staring and direct comments that bother her. Especially after they figure out she wouldn't be interested....just move on to another target!!! I need to make her a new workout top that says something like, "If you don't have a penis...stop staring at me". I dunno....that's a little much for a family place. It also infers that if you HAVE a penis it's okay to stare which is not the case either. Any ideas, throw them my way! We need to help a sista out!

Sleep is GREAT!

Wow, I forgot how hard it is to function on just a few hours of sleep!! It was great to get home from the BB to have the boys tackle me like they haven't seen me in two weeks! I had promised to take them to see Flushed Away on Sunday....so I did...fell asleep 3 times. It was really cute, I was just too tired to stay awake for it. Blog Blowout was alot of fun. I can't believe what a saint Kami's husband is. My husband would NEVER let me have that many people stay the weekend! He did though and even with a smile! Thanks Kami, for letting us stay and feeding all of us. Your tacos were yummy!! Go to her site to check out all her great pics!

Now back to the real world. Ugh. Must make myself work today. Have to meet MuscleMomma to hit legs at the gym today. REALLY don't have enough energy for that but I'm sure I'll be fine once I get started. The Punisher got to meet all the Blog Blowout girls at the incredibly crowded Walrus club we went to. No one believed The Punisher could be tough with that sweet little face. Trust me, he's all business in the gym and even though he still has a sweet face he can still kick your ass! It's the sweet face that keeps you from wanting to punch him right in the mouth when he says "Two more!". We're excited about training again. We're doing the Texas Shredder in Austin in May. That means five months of crazy, heavy lifting until we start leaning down.

No time to play today, so have a great week!

Our Halloween Heist

Thing 1 and Thing 2 had an awesome time trick or treating with their friends last night. We're so blessed to be in such a wonderful neighborhood full of kids the boys go to school with. The neighbors go all out decorating, too. We even had one house that had all the smoke going everwhere and when you knocked on the door Darth Vader answered with his glowing red light saber! I thought the boys were going to pop a vein!! Everyone went house to house together in droves and had alot of fun......except Hubs. When the whole family leaves their house to go out around here, we just leave our bowl of candy on the porch and the kids take a few pieces and move on. We have TONS of people that come to trick or treat in our neighborhood that don't live here. Knowing that from years passed I buy tons of candy. I have no problem with little children coming to trick or treat in a neighborhood they feel safe in. I would certainly do it if I lived somewhere I wouldn't feel comfortable taking my children around at. HOWEVER...as soon as we left our house last night and went to the house across the street, this pack of girls and one woman (who I assume was the mom) were dropped off from an old suburban and ran to our house. They were there a few minutes and then ran off. Hubs and his policeman's sixth sense told him something wasn't right, so he went up to the front porch to check. They dumped the ENTIRE bowl into their bags! Hubs was furious and chased after them. He lit that woman's ass UP and she promptly marched back down to the house and dumped it back in the bowl. Now if this woman had seen how this man carves a pumpkin......

she would have thought better of looting his candy! What really burns me up is, what kind of example does she think she's setting for her girls (she had about four of them with her)? They continued around the neighborhood dumping out bowl after bowl. I just wanted to kick her little witchy ass!! Hubs starting worrying though that they would come back and mess with our house or cars, etc. He started wishing he really hadn't even said anything because NOW they know where we live. I don't think she'll come back around here again after psycho chased her down but I guess we'll see.

Well, it's over. Thing 1 and Thing 2 start getting all jazzed about halloween beginning around, oh, I think MAY. So November 1st is a little anti-climatic around here. They were moping around all morning and talking about what they would be next year! They really want to make the house up all spooky, too, so I guess I'll hit the sales today and pick up a ton of stuff for next year. Hope you guys had fun! Here's some more pics of the boys' adventures..

This is the first year they didn't coordinate....so sad. Thing 1 is Jango Fett from Star Wars (on right) and Thing 2 is a fighter pilot.

My neighbor's 6 month old little Sweet Pea!

I had more but blogger sucks and won't upload any more.
